W. McCollum Halcomb has been a collection and creditor's rights attorney since 1982. Mac lectures frequently in the areas of consumer bankruptcy, debt collection and commercial law. He received his business administration degree from Samford University and his law degree from the Cumberland School of Law. He served as a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and as a law clerk to Judge Robert P. Bradley, Alabama Court of Civil Appeals. Mac is a member of the Alabama State Bar, the Birmingham and American Bar Associations and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He has been a vice-president of the National Association of Retail Collection Attorneys and received the designation of certified specialist in creditors' rights law from the Commercial Law League of America in 1995. Mac has served as chair and treasurer of the Bankruptcy and Commercial Law Section of the Birmingham Bar Association and has served on the Executive Committee for the Birmingham Bar Association.
