Stephen “Steve” Rowe joined Adams and Reese in 2003 as part of a merger with Lange Simpson and has practiced in Birmingham since 1978. The senior litigator in Alabama, Steve participates in most major litigation, which covers a variety of matters.

Some of those areas include banking, securities, health care, products liability, personal injury and asbestos. So far in his career, he has tried more than 100 cases. In 2009, the Birmingham Business Journal named Steve among the “Best and Brightest in the Legal Field.”

His other significant contributions include:

Experience before FINRA by handling multiple securities cases that have translated into growth for the firm in that practice area.
Defending banks and broker/dealers, health care companies in complex litigation, including Certificate of Need matters.
Serving as a certified mediator and National Board of Trial Advocacy certified civil trial advocate. Steve has offered his clients alternatives to litigation that can generate better results with lower costs, including mediation, arbitration agreements and modification of business practices.

Steve is listed in Best Lawyers® - Commercial Litigation, and Super Lawyers® Corporate Counsel Edition - Business Litigation. He is also a member of the International Association of Defense Counsel. He served on the Alabama Board of Bar Commissioners for nine years.

He admires Bear Bryant, late coach of the University of Alabama Crimson Tide, Billy Graham and Christian apologetic Ravi Zacharias. In his free time, Steve enjoys traveling with his wife, sampling wines and interesting beer, watching Alabama football, playing golf and tennis and touring the rural south. He is also active in the Episcopal Church.
