Najjar Denaburg's matrimonial and family law department is recognized as one of the leading domestic relations groups in the state. Our attorneys regularly handle multifaceted cases involving divorce, legal separation, annulment, paternity, alimony, child support, property valuation and division, child custody, prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, enforcement proceedings, and appellate advocacy. We are fortunate to count among our department some of the most experienced and highly qualified domestic relations litigators and certified mediators in the state of Alabama, including two Fellows of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Together, our matrimonial department has more than 75 years of experience in this field. All domestic relations matters, from the simplest to the most complex, are handled with compassion, discretion, and sensitivity.

STEVE WRIGHT, a shareholder, is the senior member of the firm's Matrimonial and Family Law Group. Born in Birmingham, Alabama, he received his B.A. from Samford University and his J.D., cum laude, from Cumberland School of Law. He was selected for membership in Phi Alpha Delta. He is a Curia Honoris member, Cumberland School of Law. Mr. Wright is admitted to the Alabama State Bar and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. His memberships include the Birmingham Bar Association, where he served on the Executive Committee, the Domestic Relations Committee, and the Family and Juvenile Courts Procedures Committee; the American Bar Association (Family Law Section); and the Alabama State Bar (Family Law Section). He is a fellow in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is certified as a mediator by the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Mr. Wright served as president of the Academy's Alabama Chapter and is currently serving as treasurer. In 2001, Mr. Wright was selected as Lawyer of the Year by the BLSA.

He and his wife, Jane, live at Highland Lake. He enjoys hunting, fishing, and gardening. His daughter, Mildred Catherine, is a graduate of Samford University, and his son, Leslie, is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
